Massage and Post-Operative Recovery in Marylebone

The Angel's Touch clinic in Marylebone, W1

Lymphatic Drainage, Sports & Deep Tissue Massage, and Post-Surgical Care at the Light Centre on Baker Street, a few minutes from Bond Street and Marble Arch.

Our Marylebone clinic brings the full range of treatments from The Angel’s Touch into central London. It is a quiet, private treatment room rather than a spa or salon, run by a practitioner whose main work is helping patients recover after cosmetic surgery, and it offers the same clinical standard whether you come in for post-operative lymphatic drainage, a sports massage after a week at a desk, or a lymphatic facial before an evening out.

Light Centre, 4 Baker Street, London W1H 6AZ. Open Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Appointments are booked online or by phone.

Treatments available at the Marylebone clinic

Everything we offer in North London is available in Marylebone. The treatments below are the ones central London clients book most often.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

The treatment we are best known for. Gentle manual lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling, water retention and bloating, carried out with the precision of a practice that uses the same technique on surgical patients every week. Available as a full-body session, a Brazilian lymphatic drainage session with contouring, or a 30-minute lymphatic drainage facial for puffiness and dull skin. Sports Massage and Deep Tissue Massage

Marylebone is full of people who sit for a living and train around it. Sports massage and deep tissue massage at the Marylebone clinic work on the tension that builds up from long days at a desk, commuting and training: tight shoulders and neck, a stiff lower back, hips that have lost their range, and the specific aches that come with running, cycling, lifting or a new programme. Sessions are firm and targeted, with assessment at the start so the work goes where it is needed. Monday morning and Thursday afternoon appointments fit around a working week in the area.

Post-Operative Recovery

If you have had cosmetic surgery in London, Marylebone and Harley Street are often where it happened, and our clinic is a few minutes away. We provide post-operative recovery care from the first days after surgery: manual lymphatic drainage, fibrosis treatment, scar and compression management, and the clinical judgement to know what is appropriate at each stage. We work alongside surgeons and follow their guidance, and we refer back to the surgical team whenever something needs their attention.

What to expect at your first visit

Every first appointment begins with a short consultation. We ask why you have come, about your medical history and any surgery or treatments you have had, and what you want from the session. For post-operative clients we assess the treated areas before anything else happens; for sports and deep tissue clients we look at posture and movement to find where the tension is coming from.

The treatment room is private and heated, with a proper treatment couch rather than a spa bed. Our cancellation policy applies to both clinics.

Packages of five and ten sessions are available for all treatments and can be bought online or in clinic.

Why clients choose The Angel's Touch in Marylebone

One practitioner, both clinics. You see the same practitioner in Marylebone as in Barnet, with the same training and the same approach. Leila trained in massage therapy in 2013 and has spent more than thirteen years treating cosmetic surgery patients, with advanced training in post-operative care, lymphoedema management, scar work and body contouring, and further training with specialists in Brazil, Portugal, Italy and the United States. She is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA).

Trusted by surgeons. We work alongside cosmetic surgeons across London, many of them based in and around Harley Street, who refer their patients to us for aftercare, including Mr Michael Mouzakis, Dr Foued Hamza and Karwal Aesthetics.

Convenient for central London. At the Oxford Street end of Baker Street, a few minutes from Bond Street and Marble Arch, so a Monday morning or Thursday afternoon appointment fits around the working day rather than being a trek.

Frequently asked questions

No. It is a private clinical treatment room. There is no steam room, no pool and no changing facilities beyond the treatment room itself. People come for the treatment and the expertise rather than the surroundings, although the room is comfortable.

Yes. Sports and deep tissue massage are available at the Marylebone clinic, and they are among the most-booked treatments there because of the number of people who work nearby. See our sports massage page for what a session involves.

Yes, and many of our post-operative clients do exactly that. Tell us at booking what procedure you have had and when, and whether your surgeon has given any guidance on aftercare, and we will plan your sessions around it. Our post-operative recovery page explains how we work with patients through the healing phase.

Manual lymphatic drainage can usually begin within the first week, once your surgeon is happy. Firmer treatments such as Brazilian lymphatic drainage, sports massage or deep tissue work are not appropriate until the tissues have healed, usually several weeks later. We will tell you what is suitable at each stage.

Prices depend on the treatment, the length of the session and the clinic, so we do not list them here. Current prices are shown in our online booking system, where packages of five and ten sessions are also available.

Coming soon. We are introducing home and hotel visits for clients in Marylebone, Baker Street, Marble Arch and the Oxford Street area. Contact the clinic to register your interest and we will let you know as soon as they are available.

Sometimes. Check the online booking system for availability, or call the clinic. Marylebone is open two half-days a week, so booking ahead is safer.
