What is a Holistic Massage
Holistic Massage therapy is one of the oldest methods of healthcare in common practice today. It is an ancient method of healing that clears the lymphatic drainage system and releases toxins from the body. It involves use of different manipulative techniques to move the body's muscles and soft tissue.

Holistic Massage is one of the best and most popular treatments – perfect for clients navigating the perils of a demanding and busy lifestyle. This technique recognises that illness and stress affect not only our physical, but also our emotional, spiritual and mental well-being.

Holistic massage allows the body's natural healing abilities to come forth and balance the entire body as a whole.

Is Holistic Massage painful?
If the part of your body being massaged is already injured, then it might hurt a little whilst the treatment takes place. Ideally it should feel like a ‘useful’ kind of pain, like we’re doing some good!

There is a big difference between ‘good pain’ and ‘bad pain’ though! If it feels like ‘bad pain’ (trust your own judgement) then you need to tell your therapist and they will adjust the pressure accordingly.

How will I feel after the massage?
You may feel sore in the day or two following your massage, but this is just a normal effect of a massage, especially if you don't have a massage very often or you haven't had one before.

In Holistic massage, light pressure is used and most people feel very relaxed afterwards. Some clients also experience freedom from long-term aches and pains, which have developed from tension or repetitive activity.  After an initial period of feeling a little slowed-down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness and greater productivity, which can last for days.

Since toxins are released from your soft tissue during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your treatment.
